After what was considered by many the upset of the year in week one, the Clear Fork Colts continued rolling with an impressive 39-0 victory against the Zanesville Blue Devils at home. From the outset, Clear Fork established dominance, controlling the pace of the game and stifling any aspirations the Blue Devils had for a comeback. The Colts' defense was relentless, applying consistent pressure on Zanesville’s quarterback, Kason Hazlett. With three interceptions the Colts not only stopped Zanesville but continued giving the ball right back to red hot QB Marcus Hoeflich.

Hoeflich exhibited a commanding presence, throwing for an impressive 286 yards and four touchdowns. The Clear Fork offense was equally formidable on the ground, with sophomore running back Brayden Hayes and senior Porter Schmidt delivering outstanding performances that combined for 199 rushing yards. Hayes even added a rushing touchdown to the scoreboard, further asserting the Colts’ dominance.
However, it was senior Devyn Oswalt who truly shined in this matchup, making a significant impact on both sides of the ball. With 104 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns—including a spectacular defensive pick-six—Oswalt's performance was a key factor in the Colts' overwhelming success. His ability to contribute in various aspects of the game not only energized his teammates but also left the Blue Devils scrambling to find answers. The victory pushed their record to 2-0, solidifying their status as a team to watch.

Looking ahead, the Colts face a new challenge as they travel to Lexington next week to battle the Minutemen. With the momentum built from this dominating win, Clear Fork will look to continue their winning streak and build on the success seen against the Blue Devils and the Pirates.
