The Game: Ohio State Heads Up North
For the 121st time in college football history, arguably the best rivalry in the game will be renewed on Saturday as top-ranked Ohio State travels to Ann Arbor to take on the 15th ranked Michigan Wolverines. While the Wolverines have won the last four meetings, the Buckeyes intend to break that streak and advance to the Big Ten championship game next weekend. It’s hard to believe that Ohio State hasn’t played for a conference title or defeated the Wolverines since 2019. This

Ohio State Runs Past UCLA
On a crisp November evening, Ohio State Stadium reverberated with the roar of over 104,000 enthusiastic fans as the Ohio State Buckeyes hosted the UCLA Bruins for the first time since 1999. The anticipation leading up to kickoff was electric. However, both teams faced significant challenges prior to the game. The Bruins entered the matchup without their star quarterback, Nico Iamaleava, sidelined due to a concussion suffered in their previous game against Nebraska. This absen

Ohio State Welcomes In UCLA For First Time Since 1999.
As the last few years of conference realignments have unfolded and the near demolition of the PAC-12 forced several teams to move to the Big 10, matchups like what we'll see on Saturday at Ohio Stadium offer a change of pace from the norm. The matchup between Ohio State and UCLA stands out not only as a potentially thrilling contest with two high octane offenses, but also as a rare event in college football history. It's astonishing to realize that this game will represent ju

Experiencing the Heart and Soul of Purdue University: A Weekend in West Lafayette
When it comes to covering sports, whether at the high school, collegiate, or professional level, one of the most enriching aspects is the opportunity to immerse oneself in the local culture. Having previously visited West Lafayette, Indiana, solely as a spectator, I recognized the need to delve deeper into the vibrancy of the local scene. With a determination to experience the unique atmosphere of Purdue University and the charm of West Lafayette, I embarked on a weekend jour

Sayin, Smith Lead Ohio State Past Purdue
On a crisp fall day in West Lafayette, Indiana, the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes faced a struggling Purdue Boilermakers squad, desperate for a win. With a damning record of 2-7 and no victories in the Big Ten Conference for over two years, Purdue’s aspirations of securing a prideful home win had the potential to ignite a fire beneath their players, especially in front of a raucous crowd of over 57,000 at Ross-Ade Stadium. However, Ohio State came into this matchup with clea

Clear Fork Looks To Snap Two Game Streak Against Galion
Unbelievably, it’s week 10 already. Where does the time go? It seems like the teams were just having their July 7 on 7’s. It’s been a fun and wild season so far for the Clear Fork Colts as they’ve had their share of success and struggles. Last week the Colts went on the road and were able to rally together to get a huge win on River Valley’s senior night. Clear Fork snapped its two game losing streak with a statement 44-7 win against the Vikings. With the bitter taste of defe

Lexington Hosts Ashland For OCC Title
Since the beginning of the playoff era in Ohio high school football back in 1972, Lexington has won just four conference championships. Two of them were back to back in 1987 and 1988 when the dominant Minutemen went 4-1 two straight years in what was then the Ohio Heartland Conference. The other two championships came in the Ohio Cardinal Conference when Lexington went 7-0 back in 2008 and again in 2016 when Lexington went 5-1 and shared the title with Ashland. Coincidentally

Lexington Looks For Tenth Straight Over Madison
Over the last three and half seasons of Lexington Minutemen football, the program has ended almost every losing streak it has had. This includes ending a three game losing streak to New Philadelphia just last week. Coach Saris, his coaching staff, and this senior class have been involved in some of the biggest wins in the last decade, and even beyond. But as each losing streak ends there is one streak that often gets overlooked, or at the very least doesn't get much praise. L

Buckeyes Head To Wisconsin To Play Desperate Badgers
As the old cliché goes, “defense wins championships,” and this adage rings especially true for the formidable 2025 edition of Ohio State football. Last week, during a dominant performance in Champaign, the Buckeyes showcased their defensive prowess, forcing three turnovers against a robust Illinois offense. The Buckeyes didn’t just rely on physical skill, though. They played a psychological game with Illinois quarterback Luke Altmeyer, making him paranoid and uncomfortable th

Clear Fork Controls Own Destiny; Prepares For River Valley
After a tough overtime loss at home last week to Highland, the Clear Fork Colts must now refocus their attention and move forward to the ultimate goal, which is making the playoffs. Standing in their way are their last two opponents, River Valley and Galion. With both games being on the road, it’s going to test the Colts both physically and mentally, but over the last couple of seasons, the Colts have shown that resilience is in their DNA. This week, Clear Fork makes the trip
